Today, we are excited to announce that ContainIQ received SOC 2 Type II certification from Johanson Group LLP.
At ContainIQ, we provide Kubernetes native monitoring and tracing. We make it easy to view and correlate metrics, events, logs, and traces. Because we often work with clients in highly regulated environments, including fintech and healthcare, we decided to pursue this independent validation of our security practices, policies, and procedures.
In partnership with Vanta, we worked to implement and maintain proper internal controls. After a three-month audit window ending in February 2022, Johanson, a leading provider of risk advisory services, issued our company a certification that our controls meet the SOC 2 Type II trust principles criteria for security and confidentiality.

What This Means
As part of ContainIQ’s commitment to security, we are thrilled that we passed our certification for the first time without any exceptions.
As part of the audit process, Johanson, a provider of risk advisory services, was able to review and understand our systems and commitments. Included as part of their work, Johanson assessed and obtained evidence that provides assurance that ContainIQ achieves its service commitments and that the controls indicate that our organization meets the standards for security.
Johanson found that the controls operated effectively throughout the period November 24, 2021, to February 24, 2022, providing reasonable assurance that ContainIQ’s service commitments and system requirements were achieved.
During this period, ContainIQ used Vanta to collect evidence, provide guidance, and prove our compliance.
Going Forward
ContainIQ will continue to work with Vanta and Johanson to explore and ensure adequate security controls.
